Happy Engineers Day to all of you, many best wishes to all of you engineers. Every time we used to drop a message saying Happy Engineers Day and with a certain court, but I thought why not talk one to one today. There is a lot to talk about and I have prepared a lot of material. I will tell you a lot of interesting points.
In this, we will also go through electrical and live and we will talk a little about all these things. If you do, then as you know that Engineer’s Day is celebrated as the birthday of M. Visvesvaraya ji and that meaning, understand this, one of the finasteride should be set, problem solving mindset is right, like every time I go to class.
The Problem-Solving Mindset:-

He will see where the application is, any engineer must have seen that it is a wire, its resistance is more, so it is doing more heating, so why not heat our house with it? Heat the food, so in the same way, the engineering mind set always pays attention to this, you should always keep one thing clear that no thing is wasteful, we can use everything like an example.
M. Visvesvaraya’s Innovative Approach:-
As it is the birthday of M Visvesvaraya ji, let me give you an example. He built a dam by creating Krishna Sagar, which is Krishna Raja Sagar, which was his big achievement in Madhya Pradesh. So what did he see that a river was flowing there. But the land around there was unfertile, the large area there was waste land, neither was there fertile land nor anything useful could be grown there, nor were people able to use it.
At the same time, people also had the problem of thirst and water. There was a problem of drinking water, so what did they do? They built a dam there. Now what to do after building a dam. A dam was built on that waste land. What happened to it? When they built a dam there, what did it do? From there they made canals which were sent towards the fields so that the water was collected in our reservoir which is our reservoir and was sent back from there in the form of canals, then what happened with that was that they made the surrounding land which was unfertile, fertile.
Beyond Theoretical Knowledge: A Mindset for Innovation:-
People who had problems in drinking water got water and believe me, in today’s time there are many tourists who go to see that dam, so what does it mean that they saw what is the problem there and what source do we have? Have and then connect it, then if you see, then this is what makes you a good engineer, not like for example, if you have given four MCQs, then it does not make you a great engineer, it is just one of your things in life.
Mindset is the main test if you want to become a quality engineer, which is what I always focus on, so you must have seen that in the lectures I prepare, my focus is on giving you quality content and teaching you an engineering mindset.
A very important engineering mindset for which I always say that I learned it when I was doing my PhD, actually when we do PhD, we have to do some innovative work there or we can say we have to do some new research which If it has not happened before then what is the method to do for it? Is it not like it is shown in the movies that we did research and we created something new? This does not happen in real life. What happens to you like when I am doing my PhD? So I have to do multiple studies, we do multiple research paper studies and there we see that where is the gap in the research paper which is already assisting technology, then a very important word comes here, research gap.
Research Gap Identification When new research papers come out, I learned this thing in my PhD that we can see life in every aspect in this way, so a good engineer is the one who has a Research Gap Identification Gap for example, if we talk about Steve Jobs. So they must have seen that when there were those keypad phones which we used to use, then inside those keypad phones, they saw that whenever the problem arises that brother, press the button, do this, then they must have imagined that they wish there was such a phone in which There is no keypad and what is there, the work can be done with touch, to scroll we just use our finger and not to slide the button down, so from there they came up with the new product from research gap identification and from there they researched a If you innovate, then you will have an engineering mindset.
If you want to do an innovation, if you want to change the world, then you should have this quality in an engineering mindset that you should have a research gap identification. Brother, the dark lamp method had this shortcoming, but we removed this shortcoming with the one dark to bright method.

Okay, there is a lot of problem there, the level of ground water has also become very low, it was coming in the news recently and at the same time, they saw that There is humidity, there is humidity in the environment, and if there is humidity in the environment, what does it mean? Water is present and people who drink it are also present but there is no connection, so to fulfill that connection, they made a device which will do what the water with humidity will do to it. Will convert it into drinking water and from here an innovation took place, then from here the third quality which should be there in the engineering mindset is that you need to be a good observer.
The Power of Observation:-
It is understood that only a good observer can be a good engineer. It can mean that if you have only bookish knowledge, if you do not analyze your life, if you do not analyze your surrounding, then it simply means that you cannot do any new research, you will not innovate any new things. So a good engineer is the one who is a good observer that he sees what is the problem around him because when you are a good observer then you will know what is good and you know that Necessity is the mother of invention which means the lack which is You will feel the lack of surrounding surroundings, that yes man, this thing is lacking, as if it could be as much as it is, that is why Einstein’s code, Imagination is more important than knowledge, is the same because unless you imagine such a hypothetical world.
Till then, how will you innovate something new? I mean, someone must have thought that we install cameras in smartphones only and what happened with this purpose is that those who did not think of this got wiped out, those who had this feature in their mobiles. If it was not a feature, that company has disappeared, then you will have to become a good observer like M Visvesvaraya must have seen that brother, this is a problem, he caught that problem and got it resolved, then you will become as big an engineer in life as the big problem you solve.
If you do the conventional work which everyone is doing, if you do not solve any big problem then you will not become a big engineer, like I was the owner of a Tata Steel, not Tata Steel, I cannot remember the name, there was a certain industrialist.
Learning From Multiple Disciplines:-
I was watching an interview, that’s why I say to you guys, you must have noted that whenever I tell you this in my series of study tips, I always focus on one thing that you should take multi-discipline education. You should read multi-discipline articles, you should read books, or if you cannot read all this, then keep watching a little to see what new innovations are happening around.

You get to learn something there, most of all you read the articles. The How It Works magazine is available for free, there is also a site, you go and study it, I mean understand this, I have been reading How It Works magazine for almost 10 years.
Read by PDF and by website, then what happens from there, many things, you get the unique idea that if something is working in biology, then the same thing works in engineering also, like let me tell you as an example that How different aspects of life are connected together. For example, if our new budget has just come, it is telling very interesting things, understand it carefully and connect everything, then like Nirmala Sitharaman ji, what did she do? She saw that the people are there.

The Law of Least Resistance:-
Look at the same case here, this was done if we keep telling someone directly that no brother, money, you Put it in the bank, no one will listen. Another example: For example, if I see that the traffic is moving, now I see that the traffic is going through the city. Take it brother, do not take the heavy traffic from inside the city, take it from the outside route, take it from the route outside the city, no one will listen to you, what will you have to do, you will have to increase the resistance of the route in the city, that is, there You will have to install speed breakers and all these and the road outside the city, which is the highway, will have to be made very smooth.
When it becomes absolutely smooth, isn’t it a very good road, then all the vehicles going from the city will become automatic highways. You will start going from here, do n’t you think yourself brother, why is a paved road made so that you do not walk on the unpaved road? If we follow the rules, there is no road there, then everyone will walk randomly on the unpaved road.
Once you give a smooth road, then everyone will walk on the unpaved road. All the people will walk on the smooth road, that is, the Law of Least Resistance is followed in the whole life, that is, if you want to divert them, whether you are a particular audience or particular people, then for that you have to do simply what you have to do, through which path.
Increase the resistance of the path you want to remove and reduce the resistance of the path you want to take. See the same thing works in analog current. If we have two currents, parallel paths are circuit one and circuit two. Now I want circuit one. The current going from it is going more than circuit one.
Now I want it to shift to circuit two. So what to do.
Bring circuit two and reduce its resistance. The more you reduce it, the more the current will shift in that portion. It will be done and if you want all the current to go away then make a short circuit. You must have seen this same work.
I had taught about lightning arrester, I had also taught about surge diverter. There was a series of substations there, so see that thing which I have told you, so see. There is a simple rule of Law of Least Resistance and it follows the same everywhere. Similarly, if we talk about magnetic here, then the resistance is there, we go there to reactivity. What we would do is to place a ferromagnetic material around it.
Becoming a Thinker, Not Just a Technician:-
Due to which what happened was that the magnetic field which was earlier evenly distributed everywhere because there was air, now when we placed a ferromagnetic core there, what happened to that was that the magnetic field that would go there would circulate in this manner and go out across that core. Look, what the government wants you to do is, if you shift from gas, oil based system or conventional energy sources to renewable, then what the government is doing for that is simple, the government has given subsidy on renewable energy sources.
It has happened that you are getting subsidy on solar that you get solar installed and look at the process of oil, they have kept it high whereas in the outside market, but they have kept the oil high and are giving subsidy beyond what is solar, what happens to this that if a person That government used to say that if solar is installed then no one would get it installed but as soon as they gave subsidy then man shifted and he installed solar.
Now what happened to this that what did we do if people indirectly controlled it then you see that the life Or science or engineering, there are many things common in all these, so a good observer, a person studying multi-discipline can do a good search, can become a good engineer, so to become an engineer, you can call the exam as a filter out.
The method is whether it is je hua ae hua or gate hua this is just a filter out method main what will make you a great engineer in life will be your mind set and I hope that my lectures are only I can give you the machine or I am not just teaching the power system, I am trying to make you an independent thinker. If you are a good thinker then you can take India forward.
