Unboxing the Infinix Hot 50 5G:-
Alright, we’ve got another phone from Infinix, the Hot 50 5G. We’re going to do its unboxing & first impressions. But first, let me tell you that this phone has a 5 year smoothness certificate by TUV Rheinland. Remember, this phone is going to be under Rs 10K. Even the 8GB 128GB variant is under Rs 10K & it comes with 4GB 128GB variant.
It’s going to be even cheaper with offers. It’s a 5G phone & it has a 5 year smoothness certificate. It has a Dimensity 6300 SoC & it’s written here that it has an IMX582 camera. It means it has a Sony camera.
What’s Inside the Box?:-
We’ll look at that first. Then you have a small adapter. The phone supports 18W but you get 10W charging in the box. You have a USB Type A to Type C charging cable, a sim card tool, documentation. The case is hard .
The first impressions of Phone:-
Let’s move this aside. Dimensity 6300 5G. It looks very thin. We don’t see thin phones under Rs 10K. But this feels really slim & looks good. It’s not too funky & it’s tilted towards premiumness. It has a vegan leather design & it’s PMMA material.
Lightweight and Slim Design:-
It looks nice & look at the camera module. It’s different, it’s not square or round. It looks different & I’d say it’s looking premium. The in-head feel is nice. It’s lightweight. It weighs 183g. Let’s remove the scratch guard first. There’s a difference of 1-2g with the scratch guard.
I couldn’t hear anything. We need that sound satisfaction. It weighs 183g. Let’s see. It weighs 185.9g. It’s not very heavy. I’d say it’s light. Nowadays, 185 is light. Let’s drop it. I don’t know about its protection. But the camera is a little high today. 1, 2 & boom! 1, 2 & 3.
Port and Button Layout:-
There’s nothing. There’s no glass back so there’s no tension. Let’s look at the ports & buttons. It has a 3.5mm jack. There’s a microphone, USB Type C, speaker grill. Power on & off button is given on right side . There’s a fingerprint sensor on the side. There’s a volume rocker.
There’s no noise cancelling microphone on the top. Sim Card are given in left side . Let’s see. There’s a 128GB base variant. So there are absolutely no problems. But there should be a hybrid sim card slot. There’s a hybrid sim card slot. It expanding storeage any problem you not found.
Quality Of Display:-
It’s a 6.7” HD+, 120Hz fast refresh rate display. It has a 93% screen-to-body ratio. Remember, it’s under Rs 10K. Even today, many brands offer auto drop notch.
You get a punch hole in this. So that’s nice, it looks modern from outside. And if you look at the display. Talking about brightness, it might struggle a bit outdoors. But it’s a good display. And the center punch hole extends. It’s a dynamic bar, so when you charge it, you get a notification. Very interesting.
Software and User Interface:-
OS UI Specifications It’s under Rs 10K. There’s a 3rd party app which you can uninstall. But relatively, it’s a clean UI. And it’s fluid. For this particular price range, it’s important to know how the swipes & touches feel. And it feels decent. There’s XOS 14 which is based on Android 14.
AI Features and Customizations:-
We didn’t talk about the major updates, but you’ll get 2 years of security updates. Interestingly, you get AI features under Rs 10K. You can’t compare it with flagship level. But there’s an AI wallpaper generator. So you’ll be able to generate an AI wallpaper with a prompt. Battery optimizations are also AI based.
Specifications and Performance:-
There’s a virtual RAM up to 8GB.It has LPDDR4X RAM & UFS 2.2 storage.
The Antutu score of around Rs 4.30L. In this phone you can easliy play game in it has a flat display with 120Hz fast refresh rate with flat display. Playing game with 40FPS. Playing decent games at 40FPS. But if I talk about gaming, it has a soft gyroscope. It has sensors but not a hardware gyroscope.
Connectivity and Multimedia:-
It’s a soft gyroscope. It has face unlock, side mounted fingerprint sensor & they work well. Connectivity is good. It has dual band WiFi, 10 5G bands. In India, all 5G bands are supported. It has Bluetooth 5.4 support as it’s the latest chipset. So it’s good in terms of connectivity. Multimedia has a decent display.
It has mono speakers which are loud. But it’s mono & not stereo speakers. It has IP54 certification. So it’s water & dust resistant. It has FM radio & no notification light.
Camera Features:-
Cameras have Sony IMX582 primary sensor. But that’s about it. It’s a 48MP sensor. The other one is an AI lens.
It has 3 sensors but we’ll talk about the primary sensor. And it has a 8MP selfie sensor. And we’ve seen other 108MP sensors. In comparison, it has decent photos. It has Sony’s primary sensor which works well. There are many photos.
There are many phones now. Before, there were only 5G phones under Rs 10K. Now there are 5G phones. There will be improvements in the next Rs 10K phones.
There will be better cameras. But for this price range, the camera is decent. But in videography, Infinix gives 2K. You’ll be able to shoot 2K videos on both front & back. And if I talk about features, there’s Film Mode, Video Mode, AI Cam Mode, Portrait Mode, Super Night Mode, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Dual Video, Sky Shop where you can replace the sky with AI, Pro Mode, Panorama, Document Scanner, AR Shot.
Final Thoughts:-
So there are features in terms of features. So this is Infinix’s Hot 50 5G. Remember, there are different series. There’s the Smart series under Rs 7K, then there’s the Hot series under Rs 7-10K, then there’s the Note series, then there’s the GT series, then there’s the Zero series.
So there are different series which cater to different types of audiences. This is for the first time users. That’s what this particular series is for. In terms of performance, display & looks, this phone is definitely a decent offering from Infinix. And if I compare it with its peers, this is a decent offering from Infinix.
