Infinix 2024 Best Launched Phone:-
Seriously, they’re launching less but they’re launching good phones. Meaning the specifications are heavy. Now if I talk about the ZERO 40 5G, it’s the best of both worlds.
Meaning they’ve brought the Note series with wireless charging & MagSafe. They’ve brought the GT series which is a performance based series with improved cameras. The UI of Infinix phones is definitely improving. Earlier we used to say that they have 3rd party apps & bloatware. Now it’s not like that, they’re also coming up with clean UI.
Box Contains:-
And finally, even in terms of colour material finish, Infinix phones are improving. And the culmination of all this is the ZERO 40 5G. It’s a very interesting & appealing phone. The box has a lot of things. ZERO45G, NFC, JBL partnership, 512GB, 24GB storage & 24GB with virtual RAM.
Unboxing Experience: Packed with Accessories:-
Documentation, sim card tool, case & bumper case. It looks like a MagSafe. It supports wireless charging. Look at the finish. The colour material & finish is very good. It’s a hard case. It comes with a 45W charger & USB Type A to Type C charging cable. That’s about it in the box.
Design & Build: Premium Look and Feel:-
And there are a lot of things on the sides too. Let’s look at the phone directly. Alright, ZERO40. Front & Rear 4K Vlog. It means it records both front & rear. Please listen to it in terms of the camera. Because ZERO40 brings some interesting things there too. It’s a curved scratch guard. What’s inside? It’s a cloth to clean the scratch guard.
Oh, it’s a thin phone. Let’s look at the design. The case & design are completely colour matched. I’ll not be wrong if I say that Infinix ZERO40 5G is probably the best looking Infinix phone. It looks premium & has a dual tone design. It has ZERO written on the bottom & the camera module in the middle.
It’s very nice, stylish & present day as nicely.
The burden feels mild. It’s 182g. Let’s have a look at. Is this a joke? Why does it sense mild? It is 197.5g. I am sorry to mention that i’ve weighed lots of telephones & i have clearly long past wrong with this one. It has a curved display. It feels good in the hand.
It’s a bit slippery but you can put a bumper case on it. You shouldn’t have any problems. It doesn’t have a scratch guard. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Let’s look at the ports & buttons. There’s a speaker grill, USB Type C, a microphone & a SIM card tray. There’s nothing on the left side. On the top, there’s a stereo speaker grill.
It’s JBL tuned so it’s a JBL partnership. There’s an IR blaster & a noise cancelling microphone. There’s a volume rocker on the top & a power on-off button. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack. Before moving ahead, let me tell you the price. There are 2 variants of this phone. 12GB RAM & 12GB RAM.
The base variant is priced at Rs 27,999 & with offers, it’s priced under Rs 25K. The 512GB variant is priced at Rs 31K & you get it for Rs 28K with offers. So according to that, it’s going to be priced under Rs 25K. There’s no glass at the back.
Display: Curved 144Hz with Great Visuals:-
Let’s start this phone! Display It’s a 6.78” FHD+, 144Hz fast refresh rate display with 1300 nits peak brightness. And remember, it’s a 3D curved LTPS display. It has an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz, 120Hz & 144Hz. And the panel looks nice. The bezels are non-existent & the upper & lower bezels are thin. So it has an excellent screen-to-body ratio. It looks very modern & the colours are good. It also gets TUV Rheinland Eye Care Certification.
Performance: Power-Packed with Dimensity 8200:-
So if you have blue light issues, you shouldn’t have any problem. And it also gets a 2304Hz PWM dimming. Specifications I’ve already told you that it has a GT-like performance. Because the 12GB RAM variant comes under Rs 25K with offers. But according to that, the AnTuTu score is around 950-960K. Because it has Dimensity 8200 Ultimate Processor.
It has 12GB RAM & 256GB storage. The variant we have is 512GB. But it has LPDDR5X RAM type & UFS 3.1 storage type. And that’s why the antutu rating is 960-970k. And it appears properly in terms of overall performance. It has a 5000mah battery & 45w charging. It helps 20w wireless charging. You get 20w wireless charging in rs 25k.
Which is an remarkable overall performance. You can play games at 60FPS continuously. Yes, in GT, they optimised it for 90FPS gaming. But here, you can play all the games at 60FPS. There’s no problem at all. The Genshin Impact also gives you a 55-56FPS frame rate continuously. It’s not too hot & we tested it.
We did some amazing gaming sessions.
It comes up to 41-42 degrees. Because the 8200 processor has been around for 8-10 months. And according to that, it’s tried & tested on different phones. And it works well. So that is excellent. It supports bypass charging. If you don’t want to use the battery in gaming & you want peak performance, then use bypass charging.
User Interface: Clean, Bloat-Free Experience:-
So you’ll get even better performance. So performance, display, looks & build are all thumbs up. What about UI? There’s no 3rd party app. You can uninstall the 1st party apps from Infinix. So that is there. You get XOS 14.5 on Android 14.
There are 2 years major updates & 3 years security updates. If talk about ai capabilities, you get ai functions like wallpaper, text set off to generate wallpaper. It has all those features. And gradually, ai capabilities are also increasing. For eg, ai vlog mode, you could visit the gallery & pick out a couple of films. It’s going to advise you a template to show you which one will appearance appropriate.
So that is there. There’s AI Eraser Mode, so that is there. There’s Ask AI feature. It’s an AI writing tool. And there’s Smart Cutout. You can make stickers & all that is there. So all that is there. These are the things, as I said, AI features are increasing & they’re getting better.
Connectivity & Sensors: Comprehensive Package:-
Let’s talk about the other features. Connectivity, you get 556E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC support, you get IR Blaster, 14 5G bands, so there’s no problem with 5G bands. So overall connectivity is good as well. If I talk about sensors, you get all sensors. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, again, they work well, we tested it out, everything is good.Quickly, before going to the camera, I’ll tell you about the other features.
Audio & Multimedia: Immersive Experience:-
You don’t get a notification light, there’s FM Radio, it’s called Wow FM, so that is there. You get IP54 certification, SAR value is within limits. If I talk about multimedia, you get stereo speakers, JBL Tune, the display is very immersive, it’s an AMOLED display, so the video viewing experience is good, the audio quality is good, so overall, the multimedia experience will be good.
Camera System: 4K Vlogging and GoPro Partnership:-
There’s Widevine L1 support, so you can do FHD streaming on Netflix, you can also play HDR videos on YouTube, so good there. Now let’s talk about the cameras. There’s an improvement in the camera as well. Although there’s no telephoto, but you get a 108MP primary sensor, it’s an OIS, but it’s stability is good.
They have a partnership with GoPro, I’ll talk about that later, but it’s a 108MP primary sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor, so that is there, and there’s 2MP depth, so 108MP plus 50MP plus 2MP, and there’s a 50MP selfie sensor at the front as well. And let me tell you, these 2 primary sensors at the back, both shoot 4K 60FPS, but not just at the back, the 50MP sensor at the front also shoots 4K 60FPS, and that’s why they’ve written 4K vlogging on the box, so if you want to shoot 4K from the front to the back, you can easily do it, that too at 60FPS. I’m not sure if there’s any other phone under Rs 25K, which gives 4K 60FPS, there are 4K 30FPS phones, but it doesn’t give 4K 60FPS, it gives 4K 60FPS.
So that’s it, that’s all I’ve got to say, And remember, due to the 108MP camera, it gives you 3X lossless zoom. It’s in sensor zoom, but it’s there. In terms of HDR, it’s a hit & miss, but overall there’s definitely an improvement in the camera.
App Features:-
App Features You get a Video Mode, AI Cam Mode, Portrait Mode, Super Night Mode. And then you also have a lot of features here like time lapse, slow motion, dual video, sky shop, long exposure documents, AR shot, pro mode, super macro, panorama, and then the interesting GoPro. If you click on the GoPro, you can connect to it.
And from this display, you can control the GoPro camera. So it’s a close & deep partnership, not just for the name. And the OIS & stability of the video is good because it’s a partnership with GoPro. So you get the stability of the GoPro, it’s an action camera which is extremely stable.
Final Thoughts: Best Infinix Phone Yet:-
So due to some learnings, the stability is good. So in terms of video, photos & features, I’d say there’s so much of improvement in this 40 5G. And yes, I forgot to tell you, it comes in 3 colours. Yes, there’s black, violet, and titanium. In fact, it’s a partnership with WGSN, which tells you about the upcoming popular colours.
So it’s a partnership for that too. But yes, in terms of colour, material & finish, Infinix phones have gone 2 steps ahead. Overall, the 40 5G is such an improvement compared to the 030G. Whether it’s the cameras, display, performance, UI, AI features, overall it’s a big upgrade. And it’s definitely very competitive in the Rs 25K price range.
